Uzbekistan will start to export natural gas to China from April 1, said chairperson of the board of Uzbekneftegaz national holding company Shokir Fayzullaev.
The gas will be supplied within the contract, signed by Uztransgaz and PetroChina International Company Limited (a subsidiary of China National Petroleum Corporation).
The Uzbek gas will be delivered to China through Central Asia – China gas pipeline with the capacity of 40 billion cubic meters, constructed in 2009. Currently, China gets only Turkmen gas from this pipeline.
